Mid Week Special – Steak on a Stone

had a lovely dinner today.. Sharon was our host and she was great kept the wine 🍷 flowing it was my mother in law's 85th birthday and they made her feel special and also thanks to her colleague with the lovely short Red hair (I didn't get her name she has served us on other occasions and she's lovely) thank you very much lovely staff lovely food see you next time 😀😀😘😘

Fantastic service Had a lovely visit to Joel's recently. I honestly haven't been there in about 15 years so it was a great treat. We sat near the back of the restaurant which was quiet but I'd say it could be quite noisy Near the front. The service was amazing. We were served by a lovely lad called Maruf? He was so friendly. He couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing. Had fish and chips and chicken Maryland. It was perfect. The chips were the nicest I probably ever had. It was quite reasonable too. Average 18 to 19 a main course. Will definitely return!

Wont leave it as long to eat here again! Stopped off for food on the way back up from a family event on a Saturday evening and as we hadn't been in here for a few years we decided to stop off. The restaurant was very busy, but we got a seat quickly and the staff were over immediately very efficient considering the busyness of the place. A special shoutout to Marouf our waiter, who, considering how busy he was had time to chat, be super friendly and offered outstanding service to us. The food was delicious (I had the fish and chips which was amazing), and the portions were huge. The chips we both agreed were probably the nicest we've ever had so good! I actually cant say anything bad about this place. Highly recommended and I'm not leaving it as long to come back.

Absolutely brilliant Sunday roast. We’ve been visiting for many years and we absolutely love the Sunday roast which is consistently unbeatable for quality and absolute deliciousness. I thought that it was time for another review as Joel & his team deserve it. Supporting an independent restaurant is a bonus, the food is just brilliant and the staff lovely. One of the team even remembers our order which is very impressive. The location at the end of the Grove is fab too, equally lovely on a cozy winter day inside or like today, basking in the sunshine outside on the terrace.
